Après avoir connu le sommet, l’animateur de talk-show Marc Morin est à un tournant dans sa carrière et dans sa vie personnelle. Son émission TV, en chute libre de cotes d'écoute, risque d'être annulée. Pour le relancer, son agent lui organise, contre son gré, un séjour en Haïti, afin d’agir comme porte-parole d’une ONG québécoise qui œuvre là-bas et, par la même occasion, redorer son image. Marc n’a pas envie d’y aller, n’en a pas le temps, n’en a pas le cœur. Mais l’aventure qu’il s’apprête à vivre changera-t-elle considérablement le sens de sa vie ?Accompagné de Nataly, une agente de communication superficielle, de Richard, un photographe zélé et de Sammy, un chanteur amateur, Marc accomplit une tournée médiatique qui sera meublée de tous les désagréments inimaginables dans cet univers éclopé. Il découvrira mille misères ainsi que mille beautés. Mais découvrira-t-il ce qu’il veut pour la suite de son existence ?
