Lorsqu'il surprend sa femme avec un autre homme, Robbie quitte Brooklyn et décide de s'installer à la campagne chez sa tante. Cette dernière gère un foyer d'accueil pour adolescentes enceintes. Seul homme parmi toutes ces femmes, Robbie devient malgré lui l'objet de toutes leurs attentions… Il rencontre alors Nina. Leur relation se complique au fur et à mesure que Robbie se rapproche d'elle, et que leur amitié suscite la jalousie des autres jeunes filles. Tout en essayant d'empêcher Nina de commettre la plus grosse erreur de sa vie, Robbie se retrouve pris au piège d'un triangle amoureux, entre Nina et Chase, le père immature de son enfant.
