Zero, un graphiste bientôt trentenaire, vit dans le quartier romain de Rebibbia. Il partage son appartement avec un tatou imaginaire, cristallisation de sa conscience, qui ne le laisse jamais en paix. Quand il ne traîne pas avec son ami Secco, Zero jongle entre petits boulots et visites chez sa mère. L’annonce d’une triste nouvelle va chambouler cette routine sans horizon et l’amener à réfléchir sur le sens de sa propre vie. Ce film est l'adaptation du roman graphique du dessinateur Zerocalcare.
