À Pékin, tous les prétendants de la princesse Turandot doivent résoudre trois énigmes pour recevoir sa main ou mourir. Calàf, fils d’un roi déchu ennemi de l’empereur, tombe sous le charme de la cruelle princesse et décide de relever le défi.Cette légende aux couleurs de la Chine impériale, dernière œuvre de Puccini, est un opéra incontournable avec ses chœurs et ses mélodies reconnaissables parmi toutes, dont notamment la fameuse aria Nessun Dorma. Cette production aux décors fastes et somptueux réunit la grande soprano suédoise Nina Stemme dans le rôle de la princesse de glace et le ténor italien Marco Berti dans celui du vaillant Calàf.
