Johan Sebastián Bach s'installe à Leipzig avec sa famille pour occuper le poste de chanteur dans la prestigieuse Ecole de Santo Tomás. Bach, fervent dévot et travailleur inlassable, est un homme modeste et sa position sociale est loin d'être privilégiée.
