A priori, Palestine et hip hop, ça ne va pas ensemble. La documentariste Jackie Reem Sal-loum démontre ici le contraire ! Qu'ils habitent Gaza, la Cisjordanie ou Israël, de jeunes Palestiniens -et de jeunes Palestiniennes- rappent" en Arabe pour dénoncer, protester, revendiquer. Et, peut-être, et avant tout, pour ne pas étouffer. Pendant cinq ans, la réalisatrice a filmé cette nouvelle génération qui crie ainsi sa révolte et ses frustrations. Elle s'est plus particulièrement focalisée sur deux groupes : DAM, basé près de Tel Aviv, et PR, de Gaza. Slingshot hip hop, le hip hop du lance-pierre, est plus qu'un document sur un genre musical. Il s'adresse autant aux amateurs de "flow" qu'à ceux que la question palestinienne interpelle.
